The new exhibit for 2014 will focus on the centennial of the sinking of the Empress of Ireland. It will showcase life in 1914, with a special focus on how day-to-day life in Quebec a hundred years ago differed from our lives now. "What did people put on their toast in the morning?" "Did the Montreal Canadiens make the playoffs?" "Could people select their ring tones?" These questions and more will lead visitors on a journey of historical discovery that will surprise and entertain them, as well as debunk long-held myths about previous generations. Designed to be a self-guided experience for kids aged 9 to 12, the exhibit will also be of interest to adults and will encourage interaction among visitors of all ages. The exhibit was created by ID3.
